Gut Loving Flaxseed Overnight Oats

It’s gonna be an oat-standing morning when you start the day with this! Inspired by @brownpapernutrition, this bowl keeps things simple and gut-focused with prebiotics and probiotics working together, plenty of soluble and insoluble fibre to help keep you regular, and a boost of polyphenols to support microbial diversity. With a topping of kiwi fruit (one of the most researched gut-friendly fruits), you’ve got a breakfast that knows exactly what it’s doing.

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 2 tsp Super Gut
  • ½ cup probiotic yogurt (or kefir)
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or plant milk)
  • ½ green or gold kiwi, sliced (or whole if small)- Note: for extra fibre leave the skin on!
  • ½ apple, grated (optional for sweetness & extra fibre)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 1–2 tbsp mixed nuts or seeds for crunch
  • In a jar or bowl, mix oats, ground flaxseed, Super Gut, yogurt, and milk. Stir well.
  • Add grated apple (or banana if preferred), plus cinnamon. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • In the morning, top with kiwi slices, extra nuts/seeds, and drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
