Apple Wedges & Spiced Peanut Butter

With Pepitas & Hemp Seeds

If you’re anything like us, mid-afternoon is time to get snacky. One of our favourite treats when our sweet tooth comes calling are these apple wedges with spiced peanut butter, a healthy, low-sugar treat that’s so easy to throw together, especially if you make a big batch of the spiced peanut butter to have on hand (you won’t regret doing so, our bodies are probably 45% peanut butter at this stage). We’ve included pepitas & hemp seeds from our Whole Pantry range for the micronutrients these provide but feel free to use whatever nuts or seeds you have on hand.

1 apple, cut into wedges

1/4 cup smooth peanut butter

pinch of cinnamon

1/4 cup walnuts

1/4 cup buckwheat kernels

1 tbsp Hemp seeds

edible flowers, optional

1/4 cup The Wholefood Pantry Pepitas

1. Melt your peanut butter in a small saucepan or microwave until it becomes runny, then stir through cinnamon.

2. Lay out apple wedges on a plate.

3. Drizzle peanut butter over apple wedges.

4. Scatter pepitas, hemp seeds, buckwheat kernels and walnuts.

5. Sprinkle with more cinnamon if you desire, and top with edible flowers if using.
