Caramel Apple Donut Rings

Do-nut be fooled! These aren’t your traditional fried apple rings, these Caramel Apple Donut Rings are a healthy twist that’ll have you feeling like a kid in a carnival. Sliced apples take the stage, dipped in a batter enriched with wholemeal flour, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and Collagen Beauty Caramel. ¼ cup agave powder

2 tsp cinnamon

3 apples

½ cup wholemeal flour

¼ cup tapioca flour

1 cup milk (your choice of)

1 egg

1 tbsp coconut oil


3 tbsp Collagen Beauty Caramel

1. Preheat oven to 180 C and line baking tray 

2. Combine agave powder and 1 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl, set aside

3. Slice apples into rings, core (cut out) the centres to make a ring shape

4. Mix together the flours, milk, egg, 1 tsp of cinnamon and collagen beauty to form a batter.

5. Heat the oil in a fry pan, then dip each ring into the batter, drip off the excess then working in batches, place into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes each side until browned, then place on the baking tray.

6. Bake the apple rings for about 10 minutes to slightly soften the apples. If the batter has filled in the centre, cut it out with a knife (or leave if you like!)

7. Dust apples in the cinnamon agave mixture. Serve hot
