Cashew Cheese Smokey Jalapeno Poppers


Simple doesn’t have to be boring, and these jalapeno poppers are testament to that. Stuffed with our go-to cashew cream cheese recipe, the spicy bites of yumminess are the perfect addition to any plate come Christmas day.


Ingredients

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Juice of 1 lemon

¼ cup water

6 jalapenos

Smoked paprika 

PRODUCTS

3 cups The Wholefood Pantry Cashews, soaked

½ cup The Wholefood Pantry Vegan Nutritional Savoury Flakes

The Wholefood Pantry Pink Himalayan Salt, to taste

2 tbsp Chicken Bone Broth Homestyle Original (can use Vegetable Broth if wanting to be vegan)


1. If possible, soak cashews overnight. Otherwise, soak for 20 minutes in hot water to do the trick.

2. In a high-speed blender, add all ingredients and blend for a few minutes until smooth. Adjust salt if needed, and add more water if a runnier consistency is desired.

3. Preheat oven to 180°C.

4. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise and de-seed. 

5. Scoop in cashew cream cheese.

6. Cook for 15-20 minutes.

7.To serve sprinkle over smoked paprika.
