Choc Banana Pikelets

Made naturally sweet with bananas and Choc Whiz; which chocolatey goodness just so happens to also make these pikelets brain boosting and gut loving - well hello there school fuel that the kids can’t refuse!

Batter ingredients:

½ cup plant milk

1 banana, mashed

2 eggs

3/4 cup gluten free flour

2 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

2 tsp butter for frying


Optional toppings:

2-3 tbsp dairy free yoghurt

2-3 tbsp maple syrup

5-6 strawberries cut in half


½ cup Choc Whiz

  1. Place all batter ingredients (starting with the liquids) together in a blender and blitz to combine.
  2. Heat the pan to a medium heat, add a little butter, let it sizzle, then dollop ⅓ cup of batter in the pan in three lots.
  3. When little bubbles start to appear (about 1 minute) flip the pikelets and cook for another 1 minute on the other side.
  4. Repeat with the remaining butter and batter until all cooked.
  5. Create a lovely little stack and dollop with yoghurt, strawberries and maple syrup.
