These little gems are so delicious, really easy to make and can take the place of those sneaky frozen treats you keep stashed away - with the added bonus that they aren’t empty calories! They are packed full of beneficial nutrients and will definitely get the tick of approval from the fussiest members of the family.

These Snickers Smoothie Pops are a macronutrient balanced treat, providing you a good source of protein, fat and carbohydrate. This recipe gets divided into 10 individual pops which make the perfect little serving sizes.

The base of peanut butter and banana means you’re getting a source of Potassium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Zinc as well as vitamins B6 and Niacin.  We have included our Thriving protein too, which provides heaps of micronutrients including vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, Folate, C, D, E, Calcium, Iron and Magnesium. It’s a complete protein source, containing all the essential amino acids by combining both golden pea and brown rice proteins.

  • 2 tbsp Thriving Family Smooth Vanilla
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 350g & 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • ¾ cup toasted peanuts, chopped
  • 250g dairy free dark chocolate buttons
  1. Place bananas, coconut milk, Thriving Family, 1 tbsp peanut butter into a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour mixture into a mould of 10 paddle pops and top each pop mould with ¼ cup chopped peanuts, then place paddle pop sticks into mould.
  3. Freeze for 3 hours or until completely frozen.
  4. When pops are frozen, lay out a sheet of baking paper on a tray and place in the freezer for the finished pops.
  5. Then over a double boiler, melt the peanut butter and pour into a glass. Then repeat with the dark chocolate buttons.
  6. Remove one smoothie pop from the mould and plunge into the melted peanut butter, allow excess to drip back into glass.
  7. Repeat with the melted chocolate.
  8. Quickly sprinkle the peanuts onto the chocolate coating before it melts and place the baking tray.

Note: Towards the end of the glass of peanut butter and chocolate you made need to scoop it out with a spoon and drizzle over the pops.
