Roasted beef bones are added to filtered water and apple cider vinegar (to maximise mineral extraction) then cooked. The broth is then strained for impurities and the fat is skimmed off of the top. It is gently refractance dried into a powder, taking care to preserve the nutritional profile

All beef bones utilised for our beef bone broths are derived solely from Australian grass-fed cattle. Our broth also contains a small amount of beef broth concentrate that is made from New Zealand grass-fed cattle and Australian grass-fed cattle. Occasionally, supplemental feed may be provided to the cattle during severe weather conditions, such as drought, flooding, or fires, to ensure their survival.

Our gelatin powder, the gelatin in our Gutsy Gummies, and the bones used in our beef and chicken broths are all sourced from Australian farms that are predominantly grass-fed. Occasionally, supplemental feed may be provided to the cattle during severe weather conditions, such as drought, flooding, or fires, to ensure their survival.

Our brand stands for high-quality organic ingredients, and we always do our best to source raw materials that meet the highest nutritional value while being organic. In every single instance we can be organic, we are! However, sometimes this is not always possible due to availability and seasonality. This means that some of our products are certified organic and some are not. On each of our product pages under ‘ingredients’ you can see what ingredients are *certified organic, and which are not.

Apple Cider Vinegar is acidic, which makes it great for naturally enhancing the extraction of collagen and other nutritious elements from the bone to ensure that our bone broth contains all the possible benefits.

The Collagen peptides in our Beef Bone Broth are derived from Types I and III collagen.

Bone is known to act as a reservoir for essential metals and other minerals in the body, which is one of the reasons that bone broth is so nutritious. Having said that, because of this, there is also sometimes the concern that undesirable substances like heavy metals may be present too. Rest assured, that all of our raw ingredients are tested and must comply with strict food standards pertaining to heavy metal detection prior to being used in our products.

In terms of bone broth benefits, our bone broth concentrates and powder bone broths are much the same with benefits for the immune system, gut wellbeing and energy. However, in terms of flavour profile, format and uses, there are a few key differences.

Our Bone Broth Concentrates have a rich flavour profile, meaning it’s great for soups, stews, gravies and cooking with a smaller amount needed, whereas our powder bone broths have a delicate flavour profile. Our Beef Bone Broth Concentrates are also shelf stable and need to be used within 12 weeks from opening, whereas our Chicken Bone Broth Concentrates need to be consumed within 6 weeks after opening with refrigeration required. Our powders are better for travelling as they come in tins, are shelf stable and can be used up to 12 months from opening.

We do not recommend giving our broths (broth powdered and concentrates) to children under 12 months of age as the sodium content is not suitable for young children when the product is prepared according to our serving suggestion. However, if you are using our broths as an ingredient in a recipe containing lower sodium foods, it may be suitable. We would recommend following the advice of your healthcare professional when introducing any new foods into your young child’s diet.
