Let’s be real, sometimes with little ones, it’s really not all gravy baby, but this gravy certainly will love your baby. It’s oh so simple and easy, how meals and nutrition should be for busy mums and bubs right? Eating those veggies and mash has never been easier with a delicious gravy to sweeten (well savoury) the deal, plus the hidden benefits of broth for bubbas immunity and wellbeing. Recipe developed by our very own Nutritionist and mumma Lisa Baker.
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour or cornstarch if you want it to be gluten free
1 cup of prepared beef or chicken broth (choose your flavour, we used original)
- On a low/medium heat, melt butter and add flour.
- Allow to cook off for a little while, keeping the butter and flour moving.
- Slowly introduce the broth. Keep stirring (whisk works best) until desired consistency is achieved.
- Pour over steamed vegetables, vegetable mash or scrambled eggs for extra nutrients and flavour.
