Apple Pie Cocktail

With Crumble Rim


What's even better than a classic apple pie on Christmas day? An apple pie morphed into a cocktail, of course! This heavenly concoction will blow your mind, it *actually* tasted like the real deal! The crumble mixture around the rim perfectly completes the cocktail and we can guarantee you will be shamelessly licking it off your glass until it's clean.

Ingredients

1 shot (45 ml) spiced rum

250 ml apple cider

2 1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1/8 tsp vanilla bean paste

Treacle or golden syrup

Apples

Cinnamon Stick

PRODUCTS

2 tsp The Wholefood Pantry Maple Syrup 

1 cup The Wholefood Pantry Almonds, blitzed

3 tbsp The Wholefood Pantry Coconut Sugar


1. Prepare the crumble by toasting your almonds, coconut sugar, nutmeg and 2 tsp of cinnamon in a fry pan over a medium head until slightly golden. 

2. Once your crumble has cooled, dip your finger in some treacle syrup and spread it around the rim of your cocktail glasses. Sprinkle the crumble mixture around the rim so it sticks to the syrup.

3. In a cocktail shaker or a large cup, mix the spiced rum, maple syrup, vanilla bean paste and your remaining cinnamon, until well combined. Then add in the apple cider - it will fizz a lot so be careful that it doesn't overflow from the foam.

4. Add the delicious concoction into your crumble glasses, and top with slice of apple and a cinnamon stick.

Makes 1.

Turn this into a mocktail by omitting the rum, and using non-alcoholic apple cider
